Ingredients
½ cup vegetable oil (Mazola)
2 tbsp. butter
300 grams minced meat
3 tsp. allspice, plus 1 tsp
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
½ tsp. black pepper,
½ tsp. ground cloves
Salt to taste
2 cups American rice
3 cups chicken stock
Fried almonds, for garnish
Extra fried pine nuts, for garnish
Instructions
Heat the oil and butter in a large pot, then fry the ground meat with 2 tsp of allspice, ½ a tsp of cinnamon, ¼ a tsp of black pepper, ¼ a tsp of powder cloves and a pinch of salt. Adjust seasoning and set aside. Cook the rice in the chicken stock for 10 minutes uncovered on medium heat, then cover and cook on low heat until done. Mix the cooked rice with the fried meat, adding 1 tsp of allspice, ½ a tsp of powder cinnamon, ¼ a tsp of ground cloves and ¼ a tsp of black pepper. Adjust salt to taste. Top with shredded chicken. Garnish the rice with the fried pine nuts and almonds before serving.
