FATAYER WITH MEAT

Ingredients


FOR THE DOUGH

3 cups of all-purpose flour

1/3 cup of vegetable oil

Salt to taste

1 cup of warm water with 1 tsp yeast

FOR THE MEAT FILLING

500 grams (½ kg) of ground meat

½ cup of Mazola oil

½ cup of pine nuts

All spices to taste

Black pepper to taste

Salt to taste

 

Instructions


TO PREPARE THE DOUGH, combine the flour, vegetable oil, salt, and water. Knead the dough well and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature. FOR THE MEAT FILLING, Heat the oil and fry the pine nuts. Set them aside. In a cooking pot, fry the meat. Add the spices along with the fried pine nuts. Mix well until all flavors are combined. Let the meat mixture cool down. TO SHAPE THE FATAYER, Roll the dough into circular shapes, fill with the meat mixture, and shape into half-moon crescents. Press the edges with a fork. Fry before eating. NOTE You can use the dough for mini pizzas and mini pastries. Serve alongside Shish- Barak.
